À propos de votre organisation / profil

Saledo is a woman led start up co-founded by a woman entrepreneur Duygu Yilmaz Koksal in 2022. Duygu's family owns 100.000 m2 banana greenhouse in Antalya/Turkiye where they cultivate 4000 tons of bananas annually and supplies major supermarket chains.

However, 200 tons of this cultivated bananas are rejected by supermarkets due to un-matched standards of appearance. They are either small, big or twins which taste normal and nutrition wise have no difference then good looking ones. After long research with food engineers and nutritionists, Duygu decided to up-cycle 200 tons of unripened green bananas to produce green banana flour and chips.

Green banana flour is neutral in taste, gluten free, source of fiber, resistant starch, potassium and magnesium. Not only a perfect gluten free baking flour, but also a clean label texturizer, binder, and thickening ingredient for food industry.

Green banana chips are a new approach to snacking market in Europe with kettle fry method and tropical natural flavours of sriracha, garlic and butter, chili and lime and pickle. It is not only tasty but also with all natural ingredients, nutritionally healthier than its traditional competitors in market.

As of mid-2025, saledo will launch ready to bake premixes such as banana bread, brownie and bread. Following premixes, saledo will launch functional raw energy bars and balls for athletes to consume before and after workout.

As of 2026 saledo is planning to launch cosmetics products with its green banana peels which are discarded before production of flour and chips. Green banana peels are rich in pholyphenol and antioxidant.

Finally as of mid 2026, saledo is planning to launch its bio-degradable product line produced from banana tree wastes which are full of fiber.

Saledo is a member of EIT Food, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneur, Food Valley in Wageningen, Impacy City in Hagueand has collaborations with TNO, University of Hague Applied Sciences to innovate more products out of banana greenhouse wastes and surpluses.
