Kaunas Science and Technology Park (Tech-Park Kaunas) – is a public institution established in 1998 to increase the efficiency of research and development (R&D) activities at Kaunas University of Technology and Kaunas region. Today Tech-Park Kaunas is the largest partner of science, public and business cooperation in Lithuania. It is the only STP in the country with business incubation facilities, Technology Demonstration Centre and R&D laboratories on site.

Tech-Park Kaunas aims to increase the competitiveness of tech businesses globally by providing the highest-level innovation support services, making efficient use of the resources of the innovation ecosystem, developing the community of innovative businesses and fostering innovation culture within Kaunas region. Tech-Park Kaunas is a component of the Lithuanian innovation ecosystem and as an organisation it is putting an effort to meet the present needs of business.

Tech-Park Kaunas has performed such roles as Assistant in E-Learning to innovative SMEs, Mediator of 500 Business Partnerships, Author of Regional Innovation Strategy, Facilitator of newly established businesses, Connector of different generation activities in Innovative Space Creation, and National Coordinator for the EU-scale Spatial Data project and many more.

In 2018 Lithuania became the Associated Country of the world’s largest nuclear and particle physics laboratory CERN (Switzerland). Associate membership opens opportunities for Lithuania to work closely with CERN in the fields of science, industry and technology. The business incubation centre, known as Lithuanian BIC of CERN Technologies, was opened at Tech-Park Kaunas.

Tech-Park Kaunas is an experienced & qualified partner to more than 50 science institutions and business associations from 23 countries. International partnership is realized via participation in European and worldwide networks and associations (more than 2000 companies): International Association of Science parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP), Baltic Association of Science, Technology Parks and Innovation Centres (BASTIC), Science Park and Innovation Centre Experts (SPICE group), World Alliance for Innovation (WAINOVA).

 There are three shareholders of Tech-Park Kaunas: the Ministry of the Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania, Kaunas University of Technology and Vytautas Magnus University.
