About the community

The project is aimed at bridging innovation ecosystems and fostering deep-tech growth in 'modest' and 'moderate' innovation hubs. This community hosts innovative startups from Wielkopolska (Poland), Lithuania, and Andalusia, local actors and international investors.

atTRACTION is here to revolutionize the way we connect, invest, and support startups across Europe. In these regions, while incubation and acceleration programs flourish, there's often a scarcity of investors and capital. We recognize the need for trust-based relationships with potential and international investors together with local co-investors, facilitating local deal flow and regulatory guidance.

The atTRACTION project links the vibrant ecosystems of Wielkopolska, Lithuania, and Andalusia with the robust innovation hubs in Europe.  

The aim is to create a sustainable community of investment ecosystem actors involved in the growth of deep-tech companies at different levels of development, and to create thematically oriented venture capital deal flows to strengthen deep-tech innovation in Europe.

📣 Open call - Startup Preschool in Malaga and Poznan

Whether you’re just fleshing out an idea or fine-tuning a proof-of-concept prototype, Startup Migrants, Poznański Park Naukowo-Technologiczny and Málaga TechPark organise a Startup Preschool which provides invaluable :

Exciting news from Poland's startup scene! 🚀

✨ SMOK Ventures has closed its second fund at $25 million, signaling a positive turn for early-stage SaaS, AI, and gaming startups across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and its diaspora.

 

This fund comes as a much-needed boost, especially after a financing drought in the region, exacerbated by delays in EU funding. Borys Musielak, SMOK's general partner, notes the challenges of fundraising in the current geopolitical climate but remains optimistic about supporting innovative ventures.

💶 SMOK aims to invest in 25-35 pre-seed and seed startups, focusing on SaaS, gaming, and AI solutions. With check sizes ranging from $100k to $1m, SMOK is actively seeking to lead rounds and support follow-on investments.

With a successful track record already in motion, SMOK has invested in diverse startups across several CEE countries. Their first fund's investments include well-known ventures like SunRoof and Vue Storefront, showcasing their commitment to nurturing regional talent.

💰 Funded by over 60 private LPs, including entrepreneurs and founders of three unicorns, SMOK Ventures is poised to make significant strides in driving innovation and growth across the CEE startup ecosystem. 🌟
