The Originals tackles one of fashion’s most pressing sustainability challenges: the environmental and economic cost of overproduction, overconsumption and waste. The global fashion industry is responsible for 10% of carbon emissions and 20% of global wastewater, with 92 million tons of textile waste ending up in landfills every year. Our fully managed luxury resale marketplace offers a scalable, data-driven solution to this crisis.

By extending the life cycle of fashion items through resale, we significantly reduce landfill waste and the demand for new production. Our model offers up to 80% lower carbon footprint per item sold compared to first-hand retail. We’ve already given 20,000 fashion items a second life, conserving 116.3 million litres of water and avoiding 240 tons of CO₂ emissions.

At the heart of our scalability is our Reo Cloud AI-powered backend system, which consists of multiple key components:
