Impact.build

Impact.build is a newly found spinoff of ETH Zurich (established April, 2025), that has the mission of decarbonizing the construction sector through the use of robotic manufacturing. We aim to deliver low-carbon construction at a competitive price point by leveraging efficient robotic processes and utilizing low-cost, local materials. 

The flagship technology is a new type of robotic 3D printing, "impact printing." The custom printing method deposits dense material with high velocity and high accuracy to bond the parts together. Unlike extrusion based concrete 3D printing, it does not require a chemical process to accelerate the strength development, and it typically uses excavated materials as the primary component of the mix design, supplied by local construction companies.
