Digital Bites is a B2B platform that revolutionizes the way food products are developed from idea conception to tested and validated launchable end-products, by utilizing Virtual Reality (VR) based consumer experiments. Our platform allows marketing, consumer, and NPD researchers to gather fast and accurate insights into their target audiences’ conscious and unconscious behavior, enabling them to make informed decisions before developing physical prototypes in the lab.

The competitive advantage of Digital Bites lies in the speed, accuracy, and resource efficiency in which it designs and implements consumer experiments. Unlike traditional research tools and methodologies, our platform eliminates trade-offs, delivering rapid results with high data quality. With a focus on the food industry, where new product launches often face a high failure ratio, Digital Bites aims to minimize time-to-market by 80% while providing richer consumer insights.

Our innovative approach encompasses several key factors. Firstly, we enable the testing of product prototypes that have not yet been physically developed, allowing for early-stage validation. Secondly, we gather extensive data from a significantly smaller consumer sample by leveraging AI models to create virtual consumers. Lastly, our closed-system experiments ensure precise collection of high context zero-party data.

As first movers in the VR behavioral/neuromarketing research space, Digital Bites holds a distinct advantage over competitors. Companies such as Eyesee, Eyesquare, Unravel Research, Tastewise, Spoonshot, Foodpairing, Gastrograph, or Turing AI cannot match the seamless combination of speed, accuracy, and resource efficiency that our platform offers.

Since January 2023, Digital Bites has iterated and tested several versions of VR consumer experiments with more than 300 end users. Two pilot projects have been successfully conducted, resulting in stakeholders implementing packaging changes based on the generated product insights. Following the launch of our minimum viable product (MVP) in April 2023, we have entered commercial operations as of June 2023.

Our founding team's unique backgrounds and expertise contribute to Digital Bites' success. Thodoris brings deep domain expertise in consumer insights, product management, and food science. Michael's proficiency in quantitative analysis and ML & AI models enhances our data-driven approach, while Loukas combines VR development expertise with programming skills to extract valuable data from experiments. Our team's synergy, forged through unconventional circumstances in the Greek army, drives our passion for better consumer research practices and food products.

While our financial projections indicate potential profitability within 3-6 months without external funding, if needed, Digital Bites seeks to accelerate growth and expand globally. We are seeking a pre-seed round of investment by the end of 2023 to support key areas such as hiring, marketing, and customer acquisition. Investors who share our vision of VR neuromarketing as the new norm for consumer research and could provide both capital and expertise are invited to join us on this exciting journey.

Digital Bites aims to establish itself as the industry leader in VR consumer research, initially empowering businesses in the food industry and eventually in multiple sectors to make data-driven decisions, reduce NPD risk, and enhance their NPD success rates.
