All this is increasing worldwide the demand for diet supplements, functional foods, nutraceuticals and probiotics.

But producers face great difficulties to create products, the results have an unpleasant taste, or low stability, or have no real effect on health and they are very expensive.

So, the future of nutrition required a natural solution to get: a Higher and better absorption of bioactive compounds -  An Increase of shelf life and storage stability  - Masking of tastes and odors.  

And now we have the solution: Protein Microencapsulation

Microcapsules work as natural carriers of the ingredients. They protect their load, and when the intact capsules reach the intestine, they adhere to the mucus layer of the gut, and the substance is released and absorbed.

And the microcapsules are made solely from Food proteins. They do not include additives, preservatives, fats, sugars or synthetic materials… just natural proteins.

Nucaps increases the absorption by up to 30 times. Can be done for 70% less cost. We can increase shelf life of bacteria from days to months and we make possible the incorporation of these ingredients in food matrices with a clean-label and sustainable solution at an affordable cost.

There are other companies working on this problem, but Nucaps beats all existing technologies and solutions in terms of efficacy, effect on health, natural diet, and costs.    

Our technology has been fully validated and protected.

We have scaled up in a totally scalable manufacturing process, using conventional facilities.

The final product is a powder with suspension in any liquid, that can be compressed, filled in a pill or incorporated in any food or supplement (resisting even thermal and industrial processes).

We focused for the market validation in Food-Nutrition, as the regulation and scaleup was faster.

In 5 years, we have met really innovation-oriented partners and clients and we have developed, 25 products, in 15 countries in Europe and LATAM and we have designed 5 proprietary products.

Nucaps is based in Pamplona, Spain; our shareholders are a private university, a foodtech center, and a pharma company, so we also use their knowledge and capabilities.
