Universiy of Saida Dr Moulay Tahar

University of Saida Dr. Moulay Tahar is a public Higher Education Institution situated in the wilaya of Saida in the northwest of Algeria. It is the result of an evolution than thirty years during which it has continued to the extension in terms of the necessary space and the supply of diverse specialties to students, with emphasis on the excellent quality of the level.

In 2009 the University Centre of Saida was transformed into a University by the decree No. 09-10 of 01/04/2009 under the name of "University of Saïda Dr. Moulay Tahar" and restructured by the decree No. 13-200 of 05/20/2013, to include 06 Faculties and 04 vice-rectorate.

Currently, the University has a very important infrastructure that is spread over four sites, 13116 students enrolled and divided as follows 8676 Bachelor's students, 4191 Master's students and 249 PhD students. The training of these students is provided by a crew of teachers numbering 722.

University training also requires that teaching be supported by intense research activity, the reason for which the University of Saida strives to consolidate and develop its appreciable capacities in this area with 19 approved research laboratories.
