Zadient Technologies

Founded in 2020 Zadient Technologies SAS (“Zadient”) is a French-German company focused on addressing critical supply chain challenges in the silicon carbide (SiC) market. With headquarters in Chambery, France, and a state-of-the-art SiC source material production facility in Bitterfeld, Germany, we specialize in the production of ultra-pure SiC source material using our proprietary Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) process, and the production of high-quality SiC wafers using a game changing high-yield, large-diameter crystal growth technology. Since 2022, we have been selling our ultra-pure SiC source material to top semiconductor companies and we are steadily making progress to commercialize our SiC wafers in 2027.

Our core mission is to eliminate material bottlenecks in the SiC semiconductor value chain and accelerate the adoption of SiC-based energy efficient technologies critical to the European Green Deal and the energy transition. By enabling widespread integration of SiC materials in electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and advanced industrial applications, we directly support the goals of the EU Chips Act, which aims to reduce Europe’s dependency on non-EU semiconductor supply chains, enhance innovation in advanced materials, and ensure the global competitiveness of the European semiconductor industry.

Our vision is to become the world’s largest producer of high-quality SiC semiconductor materials, driving innovation and scalability in the sector. With 100+ patents, and over €35M raised in funding to date, we are actively scaling our operations to meet the growing global demand for SiC, while ensuring Europe remains at the forefront of semiconductor technology innovation and supply chain resilience.
