Vitalerter

VITALS from Vitalerter is an innovative safety health preventative solution which allows constant yet unobtrusive monitoring of a patient’s vital parameters. It is composed of a set of three sensors, including an under-bed sensor (VITALS), a body sensor (Bio Patch), and a disposable Band-Aid sensor. Additionally it is coupled with a management software that includes a user dashboard interface and a cloud server, and an AI algorithm. The system works as the under-bed sensor continuously monitors a set of vital signs widely used in clinical practice as leading indicators of patient decline, such as heart rate (HR), respiration rate (RR), bed occupancy and heart rate variability (HRV), using the latest advances in micro electromechanical systems (MEMS) accelerometry. The Bio-Patch sensor measures blood oxygen saturation levels (SpO2) as well as core body temperature, plus it harnesses fall detection and geofencing capabilities. The disposable Band-Aid sensor measures a wide range of parameters, including SPo2, ECG, PPG, body posture (used to detect falls) and geofencing. The collected monitored data is sent via Wi-Fi to the monitoring software. In the software, nurses and clinicians have a comprehensive dashboard that gives an overview picture of bed occupancy of the ward and patients’ profiles which allows them to review up to the second data. As a result, they can make informed decisions regarding the patient’s current health as well as anticipate future medical risks.
