Toposens GmbH

Toposens developed the first 3D ultrasound sensor worldwide. The startup is based in Munich and was founded in 2015. Up to now, ultrasound could only be used in 1D applications. Thanks to the sophisticated algorithms of Toposens, electronic devices can now be equipped with full 3D ultrasonic vision. The sensors are small, low-power, robust, low-cost and protect people’s privacy, as they do not identify personal features. They work similar to the principle of echolocation of bats and can be used for detecting objects, tracking people and for gesture control. Toposens targets the automotive, consumer electronics and people analytics markets.
