À propos de votre organisation / profil
Sphere Ultrafast Photonics is the exclusive maker of d-scan – the technology of choice for handling ultrashort laser pulses down to true single-cycle durations. From standalone temporal diagnostics to integrated compression and measurement systems, all d-scan products share the same ease of use, compactness and utmost performance for cutting edge applications.
Sphere Ultrafast Photonics is the only company in the world that designs and manufactures the patented “dispersion scan” technology. The company was founded in September 2013 by Hélder Crespo and Rosa Romero, from the University of Porto, and by Anne L'Huillier (Nobel Prize in Physics 2023), Miguel Miranda, Cord Arnold and Thomas Fordell, from the University of Lund, in Sweden. The company was born in the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the Faculty of Sciences (FCUP), fostered by many years of research and development in the areas of ultrafast optics and photonics. The Sphere team is dedicated to manufacturing ultrafast lasers and new solutions for their diagnosis and control, offering unique products that not only improve the performance of femtosecond laser applications, but also enable access to new laser-matter interaction regimes in unprecedented time scales.
