QDI systems is a deeptech start up founded in 2019. The company develops and supplies Quantum dot inks for image sensor applications, it has also developed it's own image sensors based on this technology. The business model is to sell the QD inks and do tech transfer on the deposition technology. In order to successfully proof the technology QDI built sensors that are very good, which are now also a commercial product, available in limited volumes.

The 2 main markets are consumer electronics and medical. Consumer electronics for the SWIR sensors in wearable devices and smartphones and Medical market for X-ray panels. In these markets we provide a unique proposition offering superior specs against better scale and significantly lower cost. Offering clients the possibility to also adopt new application area's (particular for SWIR).

At this moment the QDI team has grown from 5 FTE 2023 to 18 FTE Mar "25. The team consists of highly skilled PhD trained nano scientist. The organization is currently in transition from lab to fab.
