Onshore Guide
À propos de votre organisation / profil
The Onshore Guide platform aims to be an essential part of the maritime infrastructure by putting supply and the demand together: recreational sailors (particularly cross-border visitors) access to relevant information on the nautical services, the local economy (non-nautical services) and tourism opportunities at any point along the coast. The platform seeks to make money out of putting recreational sailors in contact with the activities and services of interest and to put the suppliers of these activities and services in contact with a market segment of economic interest.
Portugal is the chosen destination for the proof of concept; once the viability is demonstrated, the model will be replicated to other coasts (the multiplier factor). As other coasts are added, these too can achieve greater participation in the global Nautical Recreation market (which, just for the European Union, is currently estimated at €28 billion annually).
The income streams for the platform include commissions, advertising, sponsorships, events and premium services.
Onshore Guide is almost finished, but not yet live. The platform will be launched with version 2.0 which is expected to be finished in the first quarter of 2020. Behind the website is a Content Management System which the Onshore Guide team is in the process of filling with activities and services the team believes to be relevant for the target visitor – our curated selection.
