The HighLift renewable energy technology is developed in Norway, originally initiated from Stirling based R&D initiatives in the mid 2000s. Olvondo Technology was established in 2016 as Olvondo Industries AS, LOS Gruppen AS and Taide AS acquired the assets and operation of former Single-Phase Power.  The ownership has later been structured into LOS Gruppen and Westcon  originated on the west coast of Norway. Our HighLift heat pumps are manufactured at Westcon’s facility at Bømlo, formerly nown as Wichmanns engine factory.

Industrial pilot now in full operation

Together with its partners AstraZeneca and Åbo Academy University, Olvondo Technology launched a full scale industrial pilot at the AstraZeneca site outside Gothenburg in Sweden. The pilot has now been operational for 2000 hours. The testing of the pilot will continue out Q1 2022. Expected market launch is Q2 2022.

The pilot is generating 10 bar steam (183 C) from waste heat at a temperature of 35-40 C.

So far the pilot is working according to expectations.
