Every year, more than 200 million people lose their vision entirely or partially every year due to age-related macular degeneration or AMD. We believe AMD, together with many other visual and systemic age-related diseases, is preventable. Effective pharmaceutical treatments exist, and more are being developed. The detection and monitoring of these diseases is time-consuming and inaccessible. Due to a shortage of ophthalmologists, visual care can be inaccessible.

We are developing our patented retinal image modality as a new tool for improving the diagnosis and monitoring of retinal, systemic, and neurodegenerative pathologies. The results from our first clinical trial show we can deliver information to ophthalmologists which is currently unavailable.
