We produce high-quality, carbon negative natural rubber using engineered microorganisms, addressing the major issues associated with this critical raw material (CO2 emissions, deforestation, dependence on oil, vulnerability of crops…).

We have validated the proof of concept and have achieved a first synthesis of the polymer (20-30mg/batch) in a lab. We have very strong commercial traction, with several LoIs from potential customers, notably from LVMH, which is open to a partnership to make Laastix a supplier for the entire group. 

The founding team has experience in biotech, carbon capture, synthetic biology and entrepreneurship.
