Founded in Sweden and based in the U.S., Innovosens is an award-winning health tech startup driven by a deeply personal mission. Inspired by the loss of her father to complications from type 2 diabetes, our founder, Sirisha, was motivated to innovate solutions for diabetic and metabolic health, resulting in the development of SMASH, the world’s first AI-powered, sweat-based wearable sensor. This groundbreaking sensor monitors key health biomarkers, such as glucose, lactate, and electrolytes, in real-time, empowering users to make informed health decisions.

Our Journey: Evolving with Innovation and Market Needs

Our journey began with SMASH—a robust, hardware-intensive device engineered to track glucose and lactate levels, initially targeted toward B2B applications in sports physiology, health, and wellness sectors. However, through facing manufacturing and regulatory complexities, we saw the need to adapt. This pivotal realization led to the creation of HYDROSENS. HYDROSENS is a next-generation, sweat-based fluid loss detection sensor using colorimetric technology, which simplifies the hardware requirements and accelerates time-to-market by reducing the regulatory burdens associated with traditional medical devices. This agile, lightweight solution allowed us to seamlessly pivot towards metabolic health while emphasizing faster value creation.

Today, HYDROSENS forms the foundation of our comprehensive metabolic health platform. Its streamlined design and multiple biomarker sensing capabilities position us to respond to evolving market demands efficiently and cost-effectively.
