Innolith is an R&D company that is developing a new generation of break-through Li-ion battery cell technology. It enables enhancement of battery cell performance beyond the limits of a conventional Li-ion, including 15% higher energy & power density, wider operational temperature range (-40C to 60C) and 40-50% higher safety, all at a competitive cost. The higher energy density helps to increase a driving range. The non-flammability of the electrolyte reduces the energy release in case of a thermal event of a cell as well as the risk of a cell-to-cell propagation within a battery pack and therefore increases safety performance.

The core of the invention is a proprietary liquid inorganic electrolyte specifically developed by Innolith for the purpose. Besides the proprietary electrolyte, the full bill of material is based on standard state-of-the-art battery cell materials, available on the market and produced at a large scale, including cathode, anode, separator, current collector, lead, housings, etc.

The technology is suitable for any high-performance applications that require higher energy/power density and wider operating temperature range combined with higher safety. Examples: automotive, e-aviation (incl. UAM), off-road vehicles, industrial machinery and tools, rail gun, power supply for communication knots, short-mid-term storage of energy in the field, mobile battery storage units.
