ELIPSEA / WAVE BUMPER

WAVE BUMPER designs, develops and produces removable seawall modules to protect valuable assets in coastal areas against the increasing risk of marine submersion waves. These equipments are currently in use on a total 3km of coastline in the Atlantic coast of France and Spain, the Mediterranean coast of France, and the Caribbean.  

On the back of the dimensioning studies required to adequately design these removable seawalls as a function of the risk incurred by the asset to be protected, WAVE BUMPER has built calculation and modeling capabilities that provide the clients with a much more accurate representation of the impact of submersion wave. The topography and bathymetry data used for these studies can be acquired at a modest cost and is increasingly available on an open-source basis.  

WAVE BUMPER has therefore launched a project called OCEAN REALITY that will use the modeling capabilities to provide clients not only with simulations of how the risk is going to evolve over the coming decades, but also with an alert system that enables them to make a much more accurate decision as to how to protect the asset in case of a storm.
