e-Car Namibia plans to establish an EV Centre to support electric vehicles in Namibia with a focus on appropriate and safe technology, as well as complete integration of Solar Photovoltaic systems into the EV value chain. e-Car aims to continue providing access to electric retrofit technology for the conversion of existing ICE vehicles to provide an environmentally friendly, more cost effective alternative for use in remote and ecologically sensitive areas.

Areas of focus include the establishment of Solar Powered EV Stations in the capital city, expanding later into the rural areas. The intention is not only to provide a source of energy for electric vehicles, but also to provide access to electricity for underprivileged communities.

Introduction of electrified Last Mile and Tourism vehicles with option of SolarPowerdedChargingStations.
Extensive marketing and discussions took place, environmental and financial calculations done, engagement of Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, Lodges and innercity Transport Companies.
Next steps are setup of retrofit workshop and conversion of vehicles as demonstration and marketing
