Comptek Solutions is a nanotechnology startup from Finland founded in 2017 as a spin-off from the University of Turku when Jouko Lång and his team discovered the novel process that sets a new bar for efficiency and reliability of compound semiconductor devices such as microLEDs, lasers, and RF power amplifiers.

Today, Comptek Solutions is a forerunner in III-V compound semiconductor quantum surface engineering with years of research behind and two granted patent families.

Our innovative technology, Kontrox^TM, solves the industry’s all too known problem - instant oxidation of compound semiconductor materials. Due to oxidation, the surface structure of semiconductor materials is highly defected, resulting in efficiency loss and lower manufacturing yield. Kontrox^TM delivers up to 98 % reduction of interface defect state density compared to existing methods, which results in an unprecedented boost of efficiency and a significant increase in the manufacturing yield of devices.

Today, our diverse team consists of 11 members, 7 of which PhDs in physics, primarily focusing on R&D for Optoelectronics, Photovoltaics, Radio Frequency, Power Electronics, and CMOS applications.
