CommonsRide Green

CommonsRide Green is a women-led Greentech and Climate Mobility startup based in the Western Balkans with the ambition to empower underserved communities through sustainable transportation systems. 

We design and deploy modular, open-source ride-sharing software tailored for towns, villages, and peri-urban regions—starting in Albania and scaling across Europe.

Our approach is hyper-local yet globally replicable. Using low-footprint electric vehicles (EVs), solar charging hubs, and a simple but powerful mobile platform, we help local governments and cooperatives launch community-owned, climate-friendly ride-sharing services.

We focus on areas with limited or no existing public transport infrastructure, creating economic opportunities, reducing carbon emissions, and fostering digital inclusion. By making all our software tools and service blueprints open source, we empower others to fork, remix, and localize solutions for their own territories.

Our organization operates lean, agile, and remote-first, relying on a mix of digital tools, partner ecosystems, and strong community roots. Our long-term mission is to provide a Commons of Mobility Infrastructure that can be reused and reimagined by women-led teams in any country.
