Candystick is currently targeting the upper end of the market (7.4 million people in South Africa growing 4% per annum). With this proof of concept under the belt and the technology positively tested, it is time to expand into the mass market, the African low income community, representing the majority of people in South Africa (target market 20.5 million, growing 20% per annum). This will be a stepping stone before developping in the rest of Africa.

The mass market is highly accustomed to the practice of group funding for the purposes of group purchasing, occasions (funerals, weddings, initiation ceremonies, etc), personal needs (appliances, furniture, mobile phones etc) and group savings ("stokvels") - 11 million South African handling over R 44 billion per annum.

In order to expend into the mass market under the brand myPasella, candystick needs to raise finance.
