In Europe, by-products and wastes management is an environmental, economic, social and political priority as it becomes more and more problematic due to the increase of volumes. Reducing food and crop waste will generate a triple win: for the economy, for the food security and for the environment. Indeed, the benefit-cost ratios of reducing food loss and waste have been estimated at the level of countries, cities and companies and was found to be always positive. By strongly limiting waste, BioThoT provides solutions to the agro-industry, which is constantly looking for new ways to be competitive, productive and more sustainable.

Several reports, on Agro-Residues (AR) and their valorization (ADEME, European commission, FAO, UN’s SDG Target 12.3…) recommend to promote circular economy, biorefinery and to use territorial scheme for their management. BioThoT's solution R€NEW is a highly efficient mobile modular multi-feedstock biorefining processing plant able to convert on-site AR whatever their quality and quantity into products of local interest with superior “green” credentials for Food, Feed and Agricultural uses. R€NEW will be surely of interest for:
