Aortyx SL

Aortyx is a pioneer company founded in 2018 by researchers from the IQS School of Engineering and the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona that aims at providing a new generation of endovascular devices to treat vascular diseases. With an initial focus on treating aortic dissection, Aortyx is developing a family of biomimetic, bioresorbable endovascular patches that are deployed via a specialized aortic catheter. The patches are designed to adhere to the vessel wall, and to promote natural repair of the aorta and biointegration within the native tissue. 

Aortyx' mission is to provide lifesaving solutions for patients with aortic diseases. We aim at delivering specialized tools designed to definitively heal the aorta to cardiovascular surgeons and aortic disease patients. Our goal is to reduce uncertainty, improve patient outcomes, and lower treatment costs in aortic disease care.
