Alternative Energy Innovations SL is a company focused on helping the industry to become more efficient and environmentally friendly. We do that by developing advanced self-powered IoT devices for machine and process monitoring. By using thermoelectric technology, our devices eliminate the expensive and high contaminant lithium batteries, which means that the system is maintenance-free, reducing the CAPEX in digitalization and the recurrent costs from battery replacement. Moreover, our solution offers better performance than battery-powered devices, long-range communications (LoRa, NB-IoT, LTE-M...), edge computing capabilities, and are almost plug&play and easy to implement. At the same time, by eliminating those lithium batteries, we reduce dramatically the environmental impact, not only from the raw material extraction and the battery production but also from its recycling. 

We offer also a Software solution to manage the gathered data from the wireless sensors, to help the industry to take its decisions regarding predictive maintenance (machine learning) process control and alarms. The SaaS is sensor "agnostic" and may serve for our and third parties sensors. 

The self-powered IoT solution has been tested and validated in real working environments and use-cases. 

Finally, based on our thermoelectric technology, we are developing Waste Heat Recovery Units to harvest waste heat from heat-intensive processes to convert it again into clean and sustainable electricity.
