Every time we set out to study a music score, we are aware of the commitment and responsibility ahead of us:

to free the music, to breathe new life into it, to give it the chance to move us once again.

The work I do with my Accademia Bizantina is just that:

we explore together the musical secret that hides in the score.

A score we investigate, we interrogate, we dig into, allowing the score itself, its composition structure, its language, to tell us how and where to find

the key points where the composer envisioned the emotions he meant to communicate.

When we feel we have found them, and the result of our introspection is clear and shared, we are ready to interpret and convey them with our own style and personality, to all those who may now recognise them for what they are:

emotions rediscovered, explained, returned.
