IRIDESENSE

IRIDESENSE is a start-up created to manufacture and exploit the world’s first 3D Multispectral LiDAR which enhances human and machines perception. Agriculture, Mining, Airports, Infrastructures, Automated vehicles, the spectral power of our solution reveals in 3D the chemical composition of elements, for our customer resources optimization and carbon footprint reduction.

A LIDAR is a laser which scans the environment in 2 dimensions and measure distance thanks to the time needed to the light to go one way and back. All other LiDARs on the market are black and white. IRIDESENSE LiDAR is the first worldwide LiDAR based on a multispectral laser. Our laser emits 5 colors in the SWIR band (1400-1700nm) which is an optical area where many materials have absorption e.g. water or oil, but also rocks… Measuring the amount of light coming back in the different bands allows to map the scene in 3D while determining the very nature of materials. 

Our system allows to measure reliably, in any light conditions and without calibration, directly on site, the geometry and chemical composition of the goods, identify objects or materials, their location and their water content. We intend to deliver two our customers useful KPIs allowing to take decisions and optimize their resources. Saving resources is also saving money on the long term which is the main driver of customers to adopt our technology.

IRIDESENSE proposes a technology which have many different applications in different sectors. In agriculture it allows to monitor simultaneously the growth, hydratation level and health of plants, in mining it allows to sort out ores and their volume directly at the extraction site, it allows airport to monitor what is going on on the tarmac including foreign object detection and pollution monitoring, It can monitor oil infrastructure to detect leaks, and humidity of bridges and buildings to prevent collapses, it can detect and identify obstacles for helicopters and trains….
