Case Study - Enhancing Mobility Infrastructure with Passenger Information Displays in France

Le Mans and Poitiers, two cities in France, have been actively addressing their mobility situations to provide accessible, reliable, and sustainable transportation options for residents and visitors. As part of their efforts, both cities have focused on improving passenger information displays at their bus stations. The recent upgrades in Le Mans and Poitiers reflect their commitment to enhancing the travel experience and promoting efficient mobility.

Dysten Entry into the French Market

Dysten company, a supplier of passenger information displays, has taken its first steps into the French market with successful deployments in Le Mans and Poitiers. The devices were manufactured for BusInfo, a leading French company specializing in urban transport support. Dysten brings its expertise in developing and delivering solutions that improve urban traffic functioning, enhance public transport quality, and prioritize road safety.

Enhancing Passenger Experience in Le Mans

At the Le Mans station, the previous TFT LCD screens have been replaced with RGB LED devices as part of the overall station renovation project. These new displays, supplied by Dysten, offer several advancements, such as built-in light sensors that optimize visibility based on the station  lighting conditions.

The use of high-quality panels has allowed for smaller display sizes without compromising protection, eliminating the need for additional protective glass. The displays also offer flexibility in color choice, graphics, and logos, ensuring high-quality image and visibility from various viewing angles. Additionally, the appropriate tilt of the displays enhances readability and user comfort, facilitating smoother navigation and reducing transfer times for passengers.

Improving Information Accessibility in Poitiers

In Poitiers, the bus station serves as a vital hub connecting various urban, regional, and international transport services. The 16 passenger information displays installed in collaboration with Dysten and BusInfo have significantly improved the provision of real-time information for travelers.

BusInfo specializes in developing innovative software solutions that support mobility and the management of public transport networks. Their comprehensive network monitoring tool empowers public transport providers to fully control and monitor their infrastructure, extending beyond visual and audio information in vehicles and timetables at stops.
