IPLEXMED, founded in 2021, is a medtech startup on a mission to revolutionize diagnostics with cutting-edge genetic platforms. Our flagship product, NEXAGUARD, provides lab-grade, fast, and personalized detection of multiple infectious agents and antimicrobial resistance using a single, non-invasive sample. Designed for point-of-care and at-home use, NEXAGUARD aims to address the critical need for timely and decentralized diagnostics, particularly for chronic respiratory diseases where early intervention is essential.
We are a spin-off from academia, built by a highly skilled team of 4 PhDs with diverse expertise in nanofabrication, biosensing, biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, and infectiology. This unique combination of skills allows us to bridge the gap between research and market-ready solutions. Our technology has already gained significant recognition, winning multiple national and international awards, reflecting its potential to transform healthcare.
Since our inception, we’ve hit major milestones, including developing our prototype and securing clinical validation. In 2023, we closed a pre-seed round of €250K and have successfully grown our intellectual property portfolio with ongoing patent applications and licensing agreements. To date, we’ve secured €600K in funding through grants, prizes, and investments.
We are now seeking €4.2 million (€1.2 million via SAFE and €3 million in seed funding) to complete product development, obtain regulatory approvals, and prepare for our market launch by 2026. With our innovative approach, strategic partnerships, and growing IP portfolio, IPLEXMED is poised to make a lasting impact on global diagnostics and patient care.
