About your organization / profile
Have you ever felt low back pain? At Fetalix we have the solution!
Our biotech company has developed the first fetal-inspired biomaterial to regenerate the intervertebral disc and treat low back pain (which affects up to 80% of the populations) in a minimally invasive way. 🔥
But our innovation doesn't stop there. We use livestock waste to develop our product creating added value from slaughterhouse byproducts which would be otherwise incinerated, thus promoting circular economy. ♻
We're poised to disrupt degenerative disc disease market, expected to reach 50 Bill EUR by 2032, by offering effective long-term solutions towards a pain-free life. Low Back Pain ranks 1st in terms of years lived with disability, with 150M sick leave days lost per year and 150 billion € spent annually in the US alone. And with a growing aging society these numbers are expected to raise 35% by 2050. So we MUST act NOW! 🚨
In a first phase, we're targeting the vet market 🐶🐾 for business sustainability, recognizing the lengthy time to market for human drugs. Currently, we’re raising $1.8M for dog validation and manufacturing to make this vision a reality.
Our passionate team is composed by researchers and serial entrepreneurs, 3 of which are women (CEO included) backed up by an advisory board composed by biomaterial engineers, veterinarians, orthopedics and neurosurgeons. On top of it, we have experienced mentors from Roche and Bayer.
Age is inevitable, but with Fetalix, we can create a world where age doesn’t stop you. A world free from pain where people can live longer active lives. Let's make history together, because the next one crying out for help due to back pain problems, could be YOU! 🫵🏻
