EU Quantum Strategy

A tipping point for European deep tech. The new EU Quantum Strategy is not merely another policy document—it's a conscious and compelling roadmap to turn Europe's excellence in anchor research into global technological leadership. 

The Strategy targets five areas: research and innovation, quantum infrastructures, ecosystem strengthening, space and dual-use technologies, and quantum skills. 

To the quantum sensing and metrology community, including QUBIZ.team, there are a couple of very relevant observations in the plan. Although the front pages will be computing-oriented, the emphasis on the application plan to build up activities in major public and industrial domains is where sensing will be at the heart of the quantum revolution.

In addition, the plan properly recognizes that technology is only as good as the talent that drives it. The creation of Quantum Competence Clusters and an European Quantum Skills Academy is a significant investment in human capital that will drive this long-term vision.

At QUBIZ.team, we both accept this strategy as appreciation for our efforts and as a challenge. The bottom-up framework has been set out. It is now up to the innovators, to the researchers, and to the deep-tech companies to construct from the ground up. We are ready to do our share and cooperate in translating these lofty ambitions into concrete, high-precision benefits to science and industry in Europe.
