Turnabio Biotechnology is a newly established biotech startup based in Erciyes Teknopark, Kayseri, Turkey, founded by Professor Ömer Aydın and PhD researchers Rüveyda Benk and Awel Olsido. Recognized with the prestigious TÜBİTAK 1812 Seal of Excellence, Turnabio has developed Turkey’s first indigenous and national electroporator, EasyVolt—a portable, piezoelectric-powered device that operates without an external power source, enabling gene delivery, bacterial transformation, and cancer drug administration. Additionally, the company produces educational kits containing bacteria and CRISPR plasmids, making genetic engineering more accessible to students and researchers. With a strong focus on innovation and local production, Turnabio aims to compete globally and advance biotechnology through cutting-edge solutions.
