HERlab is a synthetic biology startup unlocking the ‘expression and validation’ part of engineered protein discovery – no matter how complex the protein design is. Our USP: we operate far beyond standard expression systems by deploying the capabilities of hundreds of different unconventional microorganism species and their expression machineries with the help of ML. Our first product is the HAI2 platform.  Precisely matching the protein’s needs to its ideal expression machinery, it enables us to solve the existing expression challenges – whatever the folding, PTMs, stability, or other requirements, we will find what it takes to achieve functional hits.
