CNM Technologies develops and markets carbon nanomembranes (CNMs), which are molecular thin, carbon-based polymeric two-dimensional materials. The current focus is on CNM-based water filtration membranes with record high water permeance combined with near full rejection of salts, small organic molecules and nanoparticles. Applications are in the provision of ultrapure water for semiconductor production, pharmaceutical industry and food and beverage processing as well as in forward osmosis for cold concentration in food and beverages processing, recovery of valuable resources from watery waste streams (circular economy) or in zero liquid discharge. CNM Technologies actively develops together with partners in industry and academia also applications of CNMs in other areas like semiconductor manufacturing and senor technology. CNM Technologies holds a pool of 15 patents relevant to CNMs and applications and handling of 2D-materials (CNMs, graphene, …).
