Plastics is vital for affordable and hygienic healthcare but healthcare plastics now are not future proof: They are solely based on fossil fuels, cause over 90 Mt of carbon emissions each year, and many are on regulatory phase-out lists due to toxic or bioaccumulative ingredients or precursors. While sustainable plastics such as bio-based and recycled plastics are widely available outside of healthcare, there are no medical-grade solutions that meet the regulatory requirements of healthcare product. To combat this, BIOVOX brings previously unused circular materials to the healthcare industry by qualifying the raw materials and formulating and producing bioplastic compounds. Our sustainable and circular material portfolio is specifically tailored and tested for the healthcare sector and therefor offers the most convenient, safe, and cost-efficient solution for our customers to comply with both sustainability and medical regulations. Our customers are Medtech, Pharma, and Lab manufacturers sourcing our materials to produce their healthcare applications.

We are the first and only supplier fully focused on sustainable healthcare plastics which uniquely positions us in the market for long-term regulatory compliance. Our main competitors are manufacturers of fossil-based medical plastics, as other sustainable plastics manufacturers focus on less regulated sectors. 

We are working in 50+ paid projects with industry leading producers of medtech, pharma& lab. We signed the first series contract with a customer for a regulated product, additional customer projects are planned to start into series producation at the end of 2025.
