Making E-SAF in Saudi Arabia – Royal Commission, Nordic Electrofuel and Jump reach milestone for ramp-up of e-fuel production
What started about a year ago at the World Economic Forum in Davos can now officially be announced: We are honoured that the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu selected Nordic Electrofuel as its partner for E-SAF production in Jubail!
On Dec 3rd, 2024, Nordic Electrofuel, Jump and RCJY (Royal Commission of Jubail and Yanbu) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) marking a significant milestone in the development of sustainable aviation fuel. This collaboration will establish a large-scale plant in Jubail dedicated to producing synthetic aviation e-fuel by utilizing captured CO2 and green hydrogen, paving the way for innovative solutions in clean energy.
This monumental step was accomplished under the auspices of the prestigious UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning event, reflecting a commitment to global sustainability goals and positioning Jubail as a hub for groundbreaking advancements in green technologies.
This plant in Jubail will be in addition to our already planned projects in Norway.
