M-SCAN

M-SCAN is a Uganda-based health technology company revolutionizing maternal healthcare with portable, affordable, and energy-efficient ultrasound devices compatible with laptops, tablets, and mobile phones. Founded by three medical students inspired by the urgent need for early detection of pregnancy complications in rural Uganda, M-SCAN has grown into a leader in accessible diagnostic tools over the last eight years.

M-SCAN has piloted it's technology in over 20 districts across Uganda and Kenya, partnering with organizations like Save the Children, United Nations Population Fund, Airtel Uganda, and JICA. M-SCAN's devices are deployed in hospitals, refugee settlements, and clinical trials, and we're currently boosting artificial intelligence of the devices and local capacity for device development.
