Diaper Recycling Europe

Diaper Recycling Europe (DRE) is all about recycling the waste stream of used diapers, which consist of both baby diapers and incontinence material. This is an enormous stream of 11 Million Tons annually in Europe. Usually diaper waste is incinerated or thrown into landfill. But now....., DRE has found the solution!

DRE has developed the technology for recycling used diapers and we are able to reclaim clean materials from the diaper waste stream: wood fibres, plastics and SAP's. After recycling it is possible to turn the raw materials into new valuable products again. When recycling we use specialized techniques, which makes our approach unique worldwide. Our team consists of cross-border specialists: engineers in material separation, decontamination and factory building.

Our business model is very scaleable, since we will charge royalties in case waste processing companies would like to make use of our technology. And there is ample room for realizing diaper recycling facilities, since in Europe only 0,1% of the diaper waste is being recycled. Three waste processing companies are already very interested in building recycling facilities with our technology, plus a large Japanese company has taken an interest in our technology as well.

Our technology is still in development: we are in TRL level 6-7. We have done all the lab tests and have setup and operated our 1st pilot, which gave us the 'proof of concept'. Now, we are planning for the 2nd pilot, the 'proof of performance', which will be the last step before we can build the 1st production plant.

We are looking for capital to help finance the 2nd pilot. This is an interesting investment opportunity for a strategic partner.
