WATTALPS uses an innovative and patented design from the CEA research institute to effectively control the temperature of the battery and ensure maximum performance and cycle life in all conditions. The patent is based on immersion cooling technology, which is the technology selected by major actors like Porsche or MacLaren to make high performance batteries. A handful of companies is hardly working in the world to put this technology on the market and WATTALPS has the advantage of 7 years of research work on immersion cooling and 5 years of development on the WATTALPS module.
WATTALPS permits to OEMs of the Off-Road sector to divide their CAPEX by 20 for high performance batteries. These OEMs cannot afford million euro development cost of the automotive industry for every electric vehicle but they need such high performance batteries. WATTALPS drastically reduces the investment-to-market and the time-to-market for them. Furthermore, WATTALPS has developped a partnership with a specialized leasing company to develop a renting offer for its batteries. This limits the investment for the final user and helps the market adoption of EV in the sector, thanks to connected batteries and associated services.
