Energias Renovables, Spain's leading magazine for the Renewable Energies market, has published an article on the ALTERA project. On Dec. 2020, Silbat obtained a 2.3M€ grant from Spain's CDTI to build a pre-commercial prototype of its molten silicon battery. The grant was obtained in an extremely competitive call ("Misiones"/Missions) where Silbat’s proposal got the highest mark of all >70 SME applicants, with only 8 being granted.
Silbat is selected into InnoEnergy's portfolio of GreenTech companies through its Highway® Services. InnoEnergy's board very positively assessed Silbat's disruptive potential and has worked out a tailored support program, including a wide set of services as well as seed capital.
