Svein Gunnar Mæland has many years experience in selling car- and truck washing machines.  He got this idea in December 2009 to de-ice aircrafts by using well known technology from truck wash machines, to ensure more steady quality, reduce time spent and to develop a more environmental friendly method.  After having dialog with the branch, the need for an automatic washing machine was just as needed.

A scale model was completed in 2015 and shown for Norwegian and international interests, and the project got a lot of attention.  Office facilities and necessary land has been provided from Skien Kommune at Geiteryggen Airport.
