More specifically, severe Venous ThromboEmbolism issues (VTE) affect 1 to 1,5 millions people annually in Europe and the US, with Pneumology Embolism representing its most severe form. This represents a 1.2 - 1.8 $bn market opportunity.
About 50% of people hit by a VTE issue will die from it.
In the case of Deep Vein Thrombosis or Post-Thrombotic Syndrom, the prime treatment involving Thrombolysis is not conclusive in 33% to 50% of the cases, calling for a better treatment option.
Our technology allows an easy-to-use and compliant positioning of a modular branched stenting system made out of self-expandable stents. This system will come as a natural complement of the emergency Thrombolysis treatment, preventing or minimizing post-operative complications such as Post-Thrombotic Syndroms.
