HIoTee

HIoTee is a French start-up based in Montpellier, created in April 2018. The start-up maturation was financed by the SATT AxLR. HIoTee offers a complete and innovative solution for the Internet of Things (IoT) using Satellite communication. Satellite networks allow to relay data covering the whole Earth, even in the white areas where there is no usual communication network.

The disruptive solution is end-to-end, battery-powered and bi-directional. The main innovation is based on an IoT multi-protocol satellite base station, dedicated to industrial applications bringing businesses to Industry 4.0.

The principle of the solution is the following. Firstly that the base station receive data from sensor (alarms, environmental parameters) via different IoT radio protocols. In a second step, the collected data are transmitted by satellite in real-time or according to customer needs each hour for example, to secured data centers. Finally, customers can get their secured data through a dedicated cloud, compatible with all supports (pc,tablet, smartphone).

HIoTee solution is modular and flexible and can be adapted to all markets. Today, the main markets addressed by HIoTee are mining, transportation and logistics, oil & gas, the environment and renewable energies.

As an example, use cases are:data relay from isolated sites (desert, oceans) such as alarms (smoke detection,fire, leakage of gas) and measurements of physicals parameters, remote control of equipment (switch,actuators).
