Cartimage develops a platform of surgical imaging for orthopedic surgery which supports the surgeon for per-operative decision making, by providing objective data which are needed to implement advanced therapies for tissue preservation, for example to repair the meniscus in the knee (rather than cut it away, when damaged).

Our main target is to help surgeons implement novel therapies which are centered on preversing the existing tissues, thus preventing ulterior degenerative damage such as osteo-arthritis. With a focus on sports medicine and joint surgery, our technology will help patients heal faster and better after an injury, with a reduced need for artificial joint replacement and OA drugs. It will help patients preserve their mobility, sports and professional activity, and autonomy, and therefore it supports active ageing.
