Bloom Biorenewables

 Bloom Biorenewables Sàrl is a spin-off from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Bloom has developed the first technology to selectively convert the most abundant biopolymers on Earth –cellulose & lignin – into added-value chemical products. The vision is to enable an efficient utilisation of resources and promote the shift towards a green and circular society. Bloom has identified a unique route for the production of special bio-based molecules for textiles or fragrances. This technology has been recognised as disruptive by both academic and industrial partners and the first pre-order has recently been received. The aim of the current business plan is to prepare a Seed round to meet this demand and attract Series A investors for the construction of the first commercial plant.
