BLESS is a young company established in 2020. Dr. Efrat Schurr (MD), the founder of Bless Medical, felt ongoing, long lasting frustration due to inadequate solution for heavy menstrual bleeding. Off the shelf popular and acceptable medical solutions that were offered to her were more of the same: hormonal and surgical interventions.
The team consists of top-notch experts in Pharmacology, polymer optimization and business development.Dr. Schurr joined forces with Dr. Uzi Dan, an experienced Gynecologist and Dr. Shlomo Lewkowicz, a medical device expert to join her team, and developed BetterFly, a new device that would solve a very common clinical problem.
BLESS Medical Ltd. was founded to significantly change the way in which gynecologists treat women suffering from heavy periods by using BetterFly innovative self-controlled device.
The company developed unique technology for “On-Demand” intrauterine device releasing a non-hormonal agent with no side effects. The technology is protected by comprehensive patent and relay on internal know how of the company expertise.
Many gynecologists in Israel and Europe have expressed enthusiasm for our product and some of them have also demonstrated their willingness to cooperate in its development.
