Baktek Environmental Technologies

Baktek Environmental Technologies established in 2015 as a startup company in the
incubation center of ITU Cekirdek, early stage incubation center selected as the 2nd best in Europeand the 3rd best in the world by the international UBI Global index, which compares the entrepreneurship incubator centers of the leading universities in the world. Baktek is the first step of BioGuy Hybrid Technology commercialisation history after three year period of the R&D activities supported by Istanbul Technical University. In addition to the establishment, Baktek’s team awarded with a seed investment by TRAngels (Turkish Angel Investment Company) in 2015. This 1st investment let Baktek to prototype its distruptive technology ready for early-adapters in the local market. The patented solution is a flagsip bioengineering product that utilizes bacteria and zeolite as the hybrid technology to pre-treat waste water with IoT and ready for future cities and urban infrastructures. The main objective of this project is to verify the technological, economic as well as commercial viability of Baktek's BIOGUY, the next generation bio-generator.
