QUBIZ.team & Quantum Sensing at GovTech4All summit (June 17, 2025)

A truly successful quantum future is built on two pillars: a clear policy framework and ground-breaking technology. At #GovTech4All summit BAT B Accelerator Tower in Bilbao, we saw both in powerful alignment.

The morning kicked off with a vital perspective on quantum policies and governance from Enrique Sánchez Bautista, the Head of the Brussels Office at Quantum Flagship. It was a crucial reminder that strong European leadership is essential to steer this revolution responsibly.

This high-level strategy was perfectly complemented by deep dives into technology. 

While the discussions on quantum computing and post-quantum cryptography were vital, the 11:20 session on Quantum Sensing & Metrology was a powerful reminder of how this revolution will touch the physical world.

Sara Ibañez (QUBIZ.team), Jorge Casanova (QUBIZ.team & EHUQuantumCenter), Jose Rigol (Quanvia), and Xavier Vidal (TECNALIA Quantum Technologies) have discussed about next-generation capabilities for public health, environmental monitoring, and resilient infrastructure—all powered by ultra-precise measurement. It's a quiet game-changer for government services.

It's brilliant to see Bizkaiko Foru Aldundia / Diputación Foral de Bizkaia 's BIQAIN strategy setting the stage for these exact innovations. Now, after a networking lunch (with pintxos, of course!), we're ready to see what the the next sessions bring.
